Fire Fable & Feast 2026 Recap
Fire Fable & Feast 2026 Recap
On Saturday the 1st of August the orchard woke up.
The hills came alive. Hundreds of you arrived in medieval and Viking finery as
the sun set, and by nightfall the orchard was full of drums, firelight and song.
85 years ago Giovanni Della-Franca (Jack) brought with him traditions and folklore from Northern Italy. This fable was sewn in the soil with the first apple tree planted at Core Cider and through four generations, Jack’s stories live on.
How the night unfolded
Dangerous Delight’s enchanted everyone with their fire performances, Junkadelic drove the drums, and Band From Hell kept the crowd moving well into the evening.
There was storytelling and snake charming, and in the Orchard Bistro our VIP guests enjoyed a three course feast.
Then came the bonfire. We chanted, we danced, and we watched the embers carry winter away.
From sticks to blossoms, and blossoms to apples, let there be a bountiful harvest ahead!
